Victoria works with clients on a wide range of corporate transactions and commercial projects. She uses her personable and focused approach to help clients achieve successful outcomes in an efficient and pragmatic way.
Victoria has considerable experience in mergers and acquisitions, with particular focus on in-bound investment into New Zealand and the primary industries. She has also worked on a number of significant distressed asset sales, administrations and receiverships. In addition to her corporate transactional practice, Victoria undertakes a range of work on commercial projects including in the equine, agriculture, forestry, manufacturing, transport, and water sectors.
Ben advises clients on a wide range of corporate and commercial legal matters. He works with some of NZ’s best-known businesses and families in relation to corporate transactions, commercial operational matters and succession planning.
Ben has extensive experience in mergers and acquisitions, commercial property transactions and developments, and in the agriculture, horticulture, forestry, sports and retail sectors.
Cameron leads the Morrison Partners’ litigation team and has extensive experience achieving successful results for a diverse range of clients. He has acted as lead and junior counsel in cases including complex proceedings before the High Court (including injunctions, interlocutory applications, and substantive trials) and appeals in the Court of Appeal. Cameron also has experience acting on matters in the District Court, the Employment Court, the Employment Relations Authority and other specialist tribunals, as well as arbitrations and mediations.
Cameron’s recent experience includes complex commercial property disputes, financial markets and director duties claims, disputes between former business partners, professional liability claims, building and construction disputes, regulatory matters and insolvency cases. Cameron excels in guiding clients to resolve their disputes in a commercially pragmatic manner where possible. He is also adept at working with others to achieve effective and efficient outcomes for clients, including specialist barristers, King’s Counsel, and leading experts.
Viktoriya is a Senior Associate in Morrison Partners’ corporate and commercial team, who enjoys advising and supporting clients with their goals and aspirations, by providing them with practical and commercial legal advice. Viktoriya is also a co-founder of Mahi for Ukraine, which is a cause that supports Ukrainian people through advocacy of the New Zealand Government on matters such as immigration and humanitarian aid.
Viktoriya advises clients on a wide range of matters, including business structuring, joint ventures, and mergers and acquisitions. She also has particular expertise in advising start-ups on capital raising and flips to United States as well as assisting clients with regulatory compliance in connection with technology, financial services, fibre and telecommunications.
Viktoriya has a Bachelor of Laws (with Honours) and a Bachelor of Commerce from the Victoria University of Wellington, and she was admitted as a Barrister and Solicitor of the High Court in 2016.
Mingze is a commercial litigator and advises clients on a wide range of commercial disputes. Mingze is also a doctoral candidate and has tutored various papers at the University of Auckland. Mingze serves as a Judge on the Moot Court of the Auckland Law School and is the 2023-2024 Editor-in-Chief of the Public Interest Law Journal of New Zealand. He was previously an editor for the Auckland University Law Review (AULR) and his Honours dissertation was published in volume 27(1) (2021) of the AULR.
Before commencing private practice, Mingze was a Judges’ Clerk and, prior to that, a trade mark examiner at IPONZ. Mingze accumulated an acute business acumen over a decade of senior management experience prior to law school.
Mingze is a member of the New Zealand Bar Association; the Criminal Bar Association NZ; and Committee Member of the Law Reform Committee of the New Zealand Law Society; the Law Association; and the NZ Asian Lawyers Association. Mingze actively contributes to the legal community as a volunteer solicitor and legal education presenter for Community Law Waikato.
Originally from Wellington, Olivia recently graduated from Otago University with a Bachelor of Laws and Bachelor of Commerce, majoring in International Business and minoring in Chinese. She finished her studies abroad on university exchange, spending a semester at the Copenhagen Business School. As part of her ongoing interest in Chinese, Olivia is currently studying Mandarin with the Confucius Institute at Auckland University.
Olivia is a solicitor in the corporate / commercial team and is expanding her experience by supporting the team across a wide range of practice areas. Olivia was admitted as a Barrister and Solicitor of the High Court at the end of 2023.
Valerie manages the day-to-day operations of Morrison Partners. Her responsibilities include trust accounting, firm accounting, information technology, legal compliance and generally ensuring we have a smooth-running office. Valerie’s extensive experience in legal administration roles enables her to provide superior administrative support for our team and clients.
